On 8 January, Elvis Aaron Presley born in Tupelo, Mississippi, United States in a working class family. His Father was Vernon Elvis Presley and mother was Gladys Love Presley (Smith). Jesse Garon Presley his twin brother was delivered stillborn 35 minutes before him.
1945:
Elvis sang ‘Oldshep’ in a youth talent contest at Mississippi Alabama Fair and Dairy show, held in Tupelo, when he was just ten year old. The talent show was broadcast over Welo radio. He won fifth prize and get freeride ticket in that fair. That was his first public performance.
1946:
At the age of 11, Elvis received his first guitar as a birthday gift. This gift sparked his passion for music, and he began to teach himself how to play.
1948:
Elvis’s family moved to Memphis, Tennessee.
1953:
Elvis graduated from Humes high school and began working various jobs while pursuing his dream of becoming a musician.
